I decided to do this myself… I Googled Scott OBrien and found out that there was a Scott OBrien in the World Trade Center when is fell and there is a Scott OBrien involved with the Denver Broncos. There’s even a Scott OBrien Jazz singer and many more. One of these days I would like to meet others named Scott OBrien just like Jim Killeen did.

Then there is me… Scott OBrien the Healthy Coffee Guy in Holland NY!

Several years ago I had life-saving surgery that left me with a severely compromised immune system. I spent vast amounts of time and money, trying to bring my body back to a healthy state, only to be disappointed with the results. I was unable to work and was bedridden with flu’s and viruses each winter for nearly the entire season.

My Healthy Coffee Story

Three years ago, a friend of mine gave me a cup of Gano Excel’s Healthier Coffee and the tremendous health improving benefits I have received since from their products are nothing short of miraculous. Like most North Americans, I had spent many years trying to eliminate regular coffee from my diet, on doctor’s orders, because of the terrible migraines I would get and the build up of acidity in my body.

Much to my amazement, when I started drinking the Gano Coffee not only did my headaches disappear but also my acid reflux.

But that was only the start…

Because of being constantly ill, I wanted to strengthen my overall health so I started taking the Ganoderma Lucidum capsules. There was a remarkable turn-around in my health and I was getting a better night’s sleep, a feeling of well-being during the day and the brain fog started to dissipate. My allergies and sinus problems were not bothering me as much and the aches and pains started going away.

Dolly Parton on American Idol

American Idol is one of the most watched shows on Television today.

Dolly Parton sings “Jesus & Gravity” and the Clark Brothers, the first-season winners of “Next Great American Band,” perform.

Personally, I am not a huge fan of country music.

However, I found this to be a tremendous performance. It has great energy. Honestly, I got goose bumps. It was amazing to see Dolly declare the name of Jesus to 24.3 million people. I pray that the Lord blesses her for such a stand.

I know… this is a loaded question! For years, people have debated good and bad effects of coffee. Caffeine vs Decaffeinated. Organic vs Regular Coffee Beans. Gourmet Coffee vs Folgers or Maxwell House Coffee. and the list goes on…

To this loaded question there is a simple answer. In the right hands, with the right kind of conscientious food blending and processing… coffee can be very good for you.

I discovered a healthier coffee back in February of 2007. I immediately found that healthy coffee had a pleasing aroma and a delicious smooth taste. Organic Coffee – Is It Worth the Price?

Heaps of premiums are thrown onto environmentally sound products in the marketplace. Recycled paper is typically more expensive than standard paper. Lettuce and tomatoes made without the use of pesticides and fertilizers also enjoy above average market rates as well. Certified organic coffee has achieved a reputation for being pricey because of many reasons. For starters, it was produced without the use of environmentally harmful chemicals such as herbicides and pesticides. In turn, organic coffee has received a seal of approval for being healthier than your standard coffee.

Does organic coffee justify the higher price though? Many industry experts and coffee enthusiasts alike claim so because of the intense labor required by poorer farmers in countries like Bolivia and Ecuador in navigating coffee bean fields for collection and transport. Citing the injustices of poor pay by coffee merchants towards poor farmers (paying less than 50 cents a pound in some cases), major coffee companies have taken initiative in building supply chains linking these poor producers. These organic coffee supply chains guaranteed a fair wage for workers and reinvestment of organic coffee profit back into the community in these Third World countries.

A dollar spent on a 12 oz. bag of dark roasted organic coffee goes a long way towards helping coffee producing communities. It is money spent towards a generous overhead, which is the continuation of the supply chain that guarantees a reasonable price for production. Buying organic coffee supports the social work major companies are going to improve supply chains in these regions. Remember, farmers have to go through an extensive evaluation process in having their coffee called organic. With profit differences between standard coffee crops and organic coffee groups similar, many farmers can easily opt to stick with the former. All in all, organic coffee is worth the price for the reasons outlined above.
